The Magician
| I met a man not too long ago, I can’t remember his name. I saw him again today. I remember he told me when we first met that he was a magician. That he could make anything disappear (he proceeded at this time to try to make some coin disappear up his sleeve). He was an in the flesh, life size goofy. Today he approached me and we talked for quite some time. He invited me to a party he was having at his house on October 8, “Did you know 8 is the eternity symbol?”, he asked. Yes, I did. This party was going to be a Houdini style party. Freaky magic tricks and death defying stunts. Apparently, he has a $600,000 home up the street from my work, which has 4 hot tubs and was designed with secret passages and all sorts of weird things. Our conversation was about many different things yet all about one. He talked and talked and talked. I listened. Sarah actually got up and left because the depth of the conversation was making her uneasy. He reminded me a lot of Ian when he was going through his spiritual awakening. The stories he told me would seem absolutely outlandish to anyone else who listened and most would probably recommend he be paying a long visit to the pysch ward. He wrote down his number for me and shook my hand goodbye and squeezed rather firmly. I felt a crawling sensation, like an army of ants run up my arm. I looked at my arm and he whispered, “You too?” Less than a half hour later I started to feel a compressing feeling in my solar plexis area. Then I could feel it expanding, almost like it was going to burst. And shortly after I felt exorbitantly tired. Things are fine now though. There was definately an exchange of energy between the two of us. |
