Rose coloured specs
| There must be a coined diagnosis for those adults who live in a world of self-delusion. How does one go on pretending to be something they are not? I'm not talking about a little illusion, but a profound illusion. One so big they have at this point quite possibly fooled themselves? It was quite an eye-opening experience watching you, when faced with a problem, react exactly as you have always reacted. Your forehead got tight, your limbs stiff. Your eyes hardening. Words spitting out from between your lips. I stood there calmly observing your reaction. Watching you stumble over your words. Trying so hard to plead your case. I saw someone so unsure of himself. Strikingly confused so much so, that he's fooled himself into believing otherwise. |
