Forgive and Be Free
Angry with his teacher's words on loving all things, a man confronted him Within his words, Muktananda reminds us of the power of practising loving forgivness in each moment. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi talks alot about forgiveness. Deep, genuine heart felt forgiveness. Forgiveness of oneself and forgiveness of others. It is said that unless we 'free' our minds of attached grievances we are too full to fill ourselves with the Divine Love. I must consider myself fortunate, though it took me many years to discover and investigate this truth within myself (and within this truth also discovered that nothing really needs to be forgiven when our minds are free of accumulation ... when we no longer live in self-image we cannot 'be' hurt). I have not found for myself however that it was a gradual experience. I struggled and then one day the struggle was gone. But for many, past experiences continue to cage them, as they refuse to let go, the illussion appears comforting. But there is no virtue in fight, is there. |
