Etsy

An online marketplace for selling and buying all things handmade!

It's like shopping at the artists market, but from your own home. I discovered the website just in time for Christmas and along with my trip to Blue Banana Market in Toronto, have managed to get almost everyone on my list home made gifts.

Every morning, when we wake up, we have twenty-four brand-new hours to live. What a precious gift! We have the capacity to live in a way that these twenty-four hours will bring peace, joy, and happiness to ourselves and others.

Peace is present right here and now, in ourselves and in everything we do and see. The Question is whether or not we are in touch with it. We don't have to travel far away to enjoy the blue sky. We don't have to leave our city or even our neighborhood to enjoy the eyes of a beautiful child. Even the air we breathe can be a source of joy.

We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available. We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma, and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on. But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive at the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive.

Every breath we take, every step we make, can be filled with peace, joy, and serenity. We need only to be awake, alive in the present moment. ... Thich Nhat Hanh

Kundalini and Chakras

Following the conversation I had with an individual a while ago in regards to the night terrors and loud banging during sleep state I decided to do a little more investigation to see how common these occurences are. While almost all will say that no two experiences are exactly the same in k-awakenings I've actually found this to be a rather common component.

In Muktananda's book Kundalini: The Secret of Life, the writer recounts an experience he had, where he heard a loud bang directly above his head shortly after contact with Muktananda, whereafter he continued to experience internal sounds and sensations.

It was also suggested [to me] that the loud bangs are associated with the opening of both the 4th

Union 4th Chakra: Relationships; shared experiencee; cherishing that beyond the self. This is the level of compassion. When the 4th chakra is being awakened, crushing pressures are often felt in the chest. Vibrations may be felt in the chest and heart. All sorts of discomfort may be felt including acute pain. In seeming paradox, feelings of detachment from loved ones may signal the early stages of the heart chakra opening.

and the 7th chakra (which from what I've read, usually happen in pairs).

Ascension 7th Chakra: Reverence, spiritual focus. This is the consciousness of the divine. When the crown chakra opens, there are tingling sensations, vibrations or coursing energies felt at the top of the head. In some experiences the cranial bones actually start to separate and "float" beneath the skin. When the 7th chakra is awakened, there is often a transcendent experience.

The suggested reason for the paranoia is that there is an experience of a new, unfamiliar energy (which can take on anthropomorphic aspects) and the conscious mind rushes back in to see 'what's wrong'.

Yes or no, makes no difference. It all is at it is :)
